Lower Eyelid Surgery
Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be done with two types of techniques.With an internal incision in the conjunctiva of the eye, which is indicated for younger people, under the age of 40, presenting "bags" under the eyes, not because of age relaxation (they do not have excess skin). With this technique the excess fat "responsible" for the bags is removed and the bags disappear.With outer section which is below the lashes at the outer side of the lower eyelid, which after a short time becomes invisible. This technique is appropriate when you need to also correct the relaxation of the lower eyelid, removing excess skin.The lower eyelid surgery is performed under local anesthesia and in some cases with intoxication (intravenous sedation) and takes approximately 40 minutes.Upper Eyelid Surgery
In the upper eyelids the incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid, from which we remove fat and excess skin. In this case also, the intersection becomes invisible after a few weeks.The surgery is performed under local anesthesia and takes about 30 minutes.Total Blepharoplasty
This is blepharoplasty of the upper and lower eyelid, which lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes under intoxication (intravenous sedation).Postoperative progress and monitoring
After surgery people undergoing blepharoplasty experience some swelling in the area, which depending on the organism, disappears within 4-8 days.On the 4th day, the two sutures that were used, one for the upper eyelid and one for the bottom, are removed and the first postoperative assessment is done by your surgeon.The next postoperative monitoring appointment is performed 3 weeks after the surgery, when the effects become apparent as there is no swelling and the healing has progressed.Exercise is allowed after three weeks.Eyelid and ideal combinations
